World War One Remembrance Poppies
We travelled to London today to view the Remembrance Poppies at the Tower of London. It was very moving to see them and knowing that each poppy commemorates one of 888,246 lives lost during the First World War.
Afterwards we had a tour around the Tower of London, then went on an evening river cruise on the River Thames and a trip around the London Eye. It was fascinating seeing London lit up at night from the top of the wheel.
A long day and didn't get home until 11.30pm, but well worth it and nearly 400 photographs taken by us both.
