Welcome back!

The red balloon is gradually expiring, but was still full last night when I hung it out to welcome our visitors. It's so good to see them and yet another proof of how the Brazil virus stays in the blood. In a two-month period, we will have received visits from four couples who left Brazil 30 years ago or more. It's good to see them back and we hope they will enjoy the experience so much that they won't wait quite so long before returning again.

Here we were on our way out to delicious meal at a very character-full place in Santa Teresa, the Montmartre of Rio de Janeiro. They had been savouring the wait for their first proper caipirinha in years. The perfect drink to celebrate a special occasion, so naturally, we were happy join them.
