The Young Seamstress.

A pal of mine bought us this print of a painting by William Bouguereau because he said it looked just like our youngest daughter. She was a Cure Head at the time and I could see no comparison but he had better vision than me. As she grew older the resemblance became clear. After she became a mother she developed a great love of fabrics and great skills in knitting and embroidery. It was like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Now, 20 years later, we regard that print as an accurate depiction of her as a young teenager.
It's funny the way the mind works.
