Who knows where the path may lead?
I managed a short walk with Jim today. The tail of hurricane Gonzalo was whipping the trees and the paths were a carpet of crisp leaves. Autumn is certainly here.
My surgery is due the day after tomorrow and I can't help wondering what the next few weeks and months will hold for me.
This time last year I was going to the gym at least three times a week, taking long walks with the dog, and working full time in a physically demanding job. When my spinal disc prolapsed on 1st December I never knew what the following months had in store for me. None of us know the path that will fold out in front of us. That's why it's important to live in the moment and strive to be the person that you want to be. When bad things happen to us there are always positive lessons to be learnt, we just have to make sure that we stay open to receive them.
When you lose something in your life, stop thinking it's a loss for you... it is a gift you have been given so you can get on the right path to where you are meant to go, not to where you think you should have gone.
