Another tree
With thanks to Maurice1948 for identifying yesterday's birch as Betula jacquemontii, I was glad I took this shot this morning despite the grey skies.
I've seen it in full fresh splendour most mornings on my way to work. In the low morning sun it can look magnificent standing alone not far from the tramlines.
Today however I liked the lacework of the upper branches exposed after the winds.
Good thing I took this since the alternative would have been a view of my wrist watch as I realised that I was about to be ejected from the office into the dark by security. Where does the day go?
