At the end of the rainbow and Gordon Buchanan.
On the way out we quickly popped down to Fortrose harbour to catch the rainbow I had spotted appearing from on the hill. The weather was no where near as bad as expected , thank goodness. The heavy rain we did get passed quickly and the sun would return.
After a delicious steak and free pudding ( Autumn fruit crumble and custard for me) we went to Eden court to see a talk by Scottish wildlife film maker Gordon Buchanan.
He is just as nice in real life and funny too, what more could a girl ask for , oh of course, some wonderful wildlife photos and film.
You may remember his films from Spring watch, especially the foxes from Glasgow and also the 'Lost world' series one of which was the search for tigers. One of my favourite series was 'The bear family and me.'
Having been brought up on Mull, It is still one of his favourite places where his career as a cameraman started.
We also got to handle a skull from a Musk ox. Incredibly heavy and large. Gordon was very pleased to have found it and bought it back after one of his expeditions.
Unfortunately it's too large for his mantel piece.
A very enjoyable evening.
