Milk & honey

A bombshell from left field, that's what we were delivered at morning briefing today.

The principal has tendered his resignation effective from the end of the year. Stunned.

Whilst I haven't always seen eye to eye with him, and I have been frustrated about one or two of his dealings, these have been personal lthings. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that in the 12 years he has been our boss he has lead us and the college to an incredibly strong position and standing in the local community. His replacement will need to have very big feet to fill his shoes.

And what is he to do? A bit of time to relax before getting into some consultancy work. He's not one to head to the promised land in an armchair with his feet up!

The next few months will be a little unsettled I think.
