From Invader to Woodfuel

I am sorry I am not going to be able to go to the event under the above title being organised by Greener ColGlen tomorrow in the Colintraive Village Hall, with demonstrations in the afternoon of charcoal making and three different methods of eradication.

The programme certainly looks fascinating and the ever increasing prevalence of Rhododendron Ponticum throughout Argyll is undoubtedly a problem. Making that problem into an asset in terms of a source of fuel sounds like a very good idea.

This is just a small part of the road to Colintraive in the ColGlen community and the plants are encroaching ever further up the hill and over the verges.
