The Great Anticipation

Today is known as The Great Anticipation, followers of William Miller anticipated the end of the world. Hardly surprising that the following day became known as the Great Disappointment. Not only that, in 1883 Thomas Edison tested the first practical electric incandescent light bulb which lasted for 13½ hours. It's also the feast day of Aaron the Illustrious (also known as Aaron of the Nuts). And it's National Nut Day. So here's my blip for today.
