Electric Man came again this morning and wired up the 3 port mid position valve, don’t ask, I’ve no idea; all I knew was the boiler was not working correctly without a new one.

Boiler Man came later this afternoon, again, and plumbed up the valve and Hallelujah we now have a correctly working boiler, meaning at last we can feel warm in the evening. We had lit an open fire as a backup in case the job hadn’t worked, so it was nice and toasty in the lounge with fire and radiator.

In between the two events we went to B&Q as we haven’t been for a day or two, this time Evesham for a change; after, we had coffee in Frankie & Benny’s, the only coffee house near B&Q and Homebase other than McDonald’s.
