A very productive day for all today!

It was white van, and white van man, day! At one point there were 6 trades vehicles in the drive! There was even the ever illusive plumber!

I had a day of paperwork, in between talking to the various tradesmen, and also a little DIY (which involved nails, a hammer, a tape measure and a spirit level!). Philip would have been proud (once he had stopped worrying about the thought of me with the above implements!).

Last night's storm of heavy rain and wind had eased this morning but the air has changed and I smelt snow this morning - then to be told that the first snow was lying on the top of the Jura behind the house... The only thing to do was light the fire!
