The Bell Tower, Festival Square

The Bell Tower used to be on the east side of Lothian Road adjacent to the bus stop. I remember that you always had to peer around it to see if your bus was coming. Now the clock tower i sacross the road, you can not only clearly see your bus, but, thanks to the bus tracker, know exactly when it is likely to arrive if you cannot see it.

The Bell Tower was presented to the City of Edinburgh by Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd. (I think in 1982) Anyway the company is the one responsible for the Bells whisky, a blend. I prefer malts, but as blends go, it is fine by me. Slàinte.
