Callicarpa
Oh, I am looking forward to tomorrow. Both kids broke up for half term today, and tomorrow will be a pyjama day. The bliss.
Meanwhile, here is my Callicarpa bodinieri. It's a very unprepossessing plant in the spring and summer, but in the autumn it really comes into its own. The leaves start to drop, and these light purple berries begin to develop. They last for weeks, when the rest of the garden is bare.
