Like a snake he slipped into the church

Another odyssee over Crete to visit Byzantine chapels with my friends ~ we got to Kissos and this old little church Aghios Sotiris (Holy Salvatore) with fresco's there and altho' the key was in the slot it didn't work to open the door.... we had the young priest accompanying us and he knew a way to get in:)

My companions said ' like a snake he's slipping into the chapel' ! I turned around and managed just this hilarious snap shot.

It rains and rains today! first showers of rain now... most welcome to all and the land with trees and bushes and olives ready to ripen
