Mary Rose

One of David Austin's roses . It was named after the Armada flagship built in 1510 and sunk in 1545 with the loss of at least 180 lives, including the ship's dog. It was fished out of the Channel and now at a museum in Plymouth.

The rose is among the first and last to flower.

This one was planted in memory of Hamey's and Arteedeegee's mother, Mary, whose birthday was this month.
