The Music Room

This image hangs in The Manor, Hemingford Grey - the home of Lucy Boston author of the Green Knowe children's books which I visited in the Summer. It shows the RAF service men sharing music evenings which Lucy Boston put on for them in her home. We were able to listen to the same gramophone shown in the painting.It really shows the special person that she was and the poignancy that for some it may have been the last relaxed evening they experienced.

Still feeling ill but determined to last until Friday at work!!
