Poor Trefer

This is one little cat that is feeling sorry for itself tonight. I noticed at lunchtime that she had not moved an inch all morning and in fact was on the same bit of my bed that she had lain all night. When I got close to her all I got was a mouthful of growls. I checked her over and her back foot was swollen and obviously very painful. This is a bad enough problem for a normal cat but wee Teefer only has one back leg!

I phoned the vet straight away for some advice and was asked to bring her on to be admitted. The vets were performing surgery but would look at her as soon as they were free. I got a phone call an hour or so later to say that she had been examined and it felt like there were no broken bones but it could be that she has had a bite from another cat which has turned nasty.

She is home now but under house arrest until she is checked over again on Saturday morning. She will be sleeping in the cage tonight to restrict her movements but she is determined at the moment to get out the cat flap!
