Where are the Fairies?
After the rain yesterday morning, we awoke to a beautifully sunny and mild day, so I went for a run. After a quiet morning pottering around the village, BB and I headed to Rosemarkie to look for fairies.
We had a really lovely and peaceful walk up Fairy Glen to the waterfalls. The peace was only broken by BB’s constant chatter about Minecraft. I was quite worn out and certainly not by the walk! Once back at the village we bought a snack and some football cards in the shop and then checked out the Groam House Museum - a little gem of a museum. BB got the opportunity to play a harp which he really enjoyed. We then headed back to the beach for a wander and a last look for dolphins (we didn’t see any) before we headed back to the holiday cottage for the last night of our relaxing holiday in the Black Isle.
I should have said that we didn’t see any fairies. BB thinks they live in behind the waterfalls and get into their houses through cracks in the rocks that only a baby’s fingers can find. Here he is paddling in the pool at the top waterfall. View large.
