Out of the Mist

Windy in Windermere. I was very apprehensive when husband suggested a boat trip on the lake after a full pub lunch of beef and ale stew with massive dumplings (and even more gigantic chips!) Fortunately, my worst fears were not realised. The boat trip was very pleasant, in spite of the drizzle, and the waters surprisingly calm. I would have preferred to have done the trip with the benefit of sunshine. The shores would have been ablaze with the fires of autumnal colours. And it would have been just that little bit drier, and warmer.
