Poppies

Hi Tom

I went to see the poppies in London today. My journey didn't start too well when like an idiot I arrived at Shenfield station car park without my purse. Luckily for me I found enough money in my bag for the car park fee. I also keep my Oyster card in my phone case which had enough money on it. I also keep emergency money in my glove compartment which helped plus I keep an emergency £20 note also in my phone case. Phew...at least I didn't have to return home to get my purse.

Dad had a business meeting in London so I met up with him after the meeting. We went for drinks with the guys from the meeting then walked to the tower to see the poppies. We stopped at an oyster bar on our way....had yet another drink.

The poppies were an amazing sight. I'm glad I went to see them. We spent a lot of time walking around taking lots of photos. It's incredible how each one represents a life lost. We then walked over Tower Bridge to look for somewhere to have dinner.

We chose Browns on the Thames. Had a really nice meal. By the time we came out it was dark and London was lit up. It was beautiful.

We decided to walk back over Tower Bridge and see the poppies again. Once again I took many photos. I couldn't decide which one to blip so I've blipped a day and a night shot.

Had a coffee and came home.

It's been a really nice day.
