Alstroemeria

These flowers are some of my favourite, not only because they are very pretty and delicate but also because they last in a vase probably longer than any other flowers do.

These are in kitchen window at the moment and have been there for about a week; they still look amazing and I expect they will last for at least another week to 10 days.

Some of the ones we've had have been known to last over three weeks, which is astonishing.

The position of the window and amount of light that comes through it must just be perfect for them to flourish.
