Sunset on Abbey Craig

There are quite a few people on this site who will know the subject of this photo well.

Today was such a brilliant sunny day and there was even a hint of warmth in the air at one point. I was stuck in the office however and when I left I was pondering what the subject of todays blip would be.

This is the view from my bedroom window and the sunset this evening was fantastic. It is a little shaky when viewed large but I grabbed the shot at 400mm handheld at a somewhat less than optimal shutter speed. I'm glad I did because minutes later the dramatic colours had gone


Note: the EXIF data shows 189mm but the camera has a 2x crop factor so almost 400mm !
