Wedding Bliss

Today was Greg a.k.a Goose a.k.a G-ball a.k.a. G. Lyle's big day. The wedding ceremony was beautiful and interesting. We were all hoping that the "crown" we heard Greg would have to wear would be big and gaudy, but no such luck. However, we did get a good chuckle out of Greg & Sophia's mothers pelting them with rose petals as they circled the alter.

Sophia kept with tradition and didn't let Greg see her before the wedding, so afterwards we drove to Lake Michigan in the SUV Hummer for photos. The setting was beautiful, but as the sun sank, so did the temperature. When we finished, the hummer was nowhere to be found! Turns out he got hit by another car and was unable to pick us up. During the hour we stood roadside hailing cabs and phoning the limo company, I took this shot. Looks like this happy "couple" is not deterred by missing the happy hour.

We made it back in time for dinner and, more importantly, the Greek dancing! I wasn't the best Greek dancer, but I did lead a conga as they transitioned into more traditional wedding dance music.
