R says it's very posh and that you have to get dressed up to go there.

It's certainly true that we spend most of our time here in jeans and flip-flops. Going over the hill requires a tiny bit of thought - not that anyone cares, but Stanford is definitely more swanky than Santa Cruz.

And I think I prefer Santa Cruz.
