Littlehampton gets ready

The fair has come to town, the bonfire on the green is built, the societies and clubs will be getting their carnival floats ready, steam engines will start arriving in the morning, the firewalkers will start mustering from all the neighbouring bonfire societies, and all we need is some good weather for the bonfire night tomorrow. I am so glad we don't have scaffolding covering our sitting room window this year ( it doesn't reach that far .. yet). We'll clear the window sill and hang out of the window as usual.

Our couple of weeks of leave have almost finished. The decorating is almost done, the carpets cleaned and things are all being put back to rights. There's just the office to tidy up ready for S to come and stay from Sunday. We're looking forward to painting time together. This time we're planning a painting for an under 16 competition she wants to enter and papermaking. I thought we might make some chutney and cakes if we get bored.
