Chinese whispers

The lovely Lottie slept at the end of my bed last night and only got me up twice to let her out! Hmmm. I'd forgotten that was part of the bargain. But she gives so much I can't begrudge her...Yet.

I felt flat at work today after the appraisal yesterday. I'm losing confidence in some of my colleagues at a rate of knots and it's made me begin to think hard about the coming year and if I want more of the same or not. I spoke to my recruitment agent, who was great when he got me my current job, for about 40 minutes this afternoon. I think that I will move on as soon as the right opportunity comes up, which may not be for a long time but unless I'm looking I won't find it and it feels good to get the ball rolling. I feel quite relieved so maybe this is something that's been bubbling under for me for a while that I haven't really recognised.

When I got home the cleaners had been and my neighbour had taken Lottie out for a walk so she'd had an interesting day.

I admit to a very small snooze on the sofa before going out for a tasty Chinese (Singaporean chilli chicken for me) in Stony with L and S who came over from Bedford. L surprised by generously paying for us all, having said he'd had a good month financially! Thank you very much. We didn't leave til 11.30pm after a really relaxed, funny and enjoyable evening. Lottie is warming my feet.
