Still waters

Downtown was very peaceful this evening. There were a few people in the park as usual, but otherwise it was quiet.

I gave a ride to a young lad who was hitch hiking from our official hitching post (outside the bakery). Hitchhiking is legal here and this spot even has wooden destination signs for hitchers to use. As he was going my way how could I refuse?

I've found it an enjoyable experience as I've met some interesting people. Sometimes the needle swings from eccentric all the way to crazy!

For me it's been a day of finishing off things. I find finishing things off, even small ones, releases a lot of energy. I guess we expend mental energy maintaining a mental list if unfinished business.
