Fizz for Zambia
This evening I spent quite some time delicately tweaking a shot of a dried and twisted Fatsia Japonica leaf, leaving a trace of texture in the black velvet backdrop I had bought on Thursday. Uploading to Blip, that texture had gone, and it was even worse viewed on my phone. Drives me nuts when that happens.
So I was fairly miffed as I left the house around 10:45 to catch last orders at the Case. That all changed as I sidled up to the bar alongside Jackie the landlady. Jackie was chatting to Grace and Mike. Mike was looking especially jazzy. It transpired that today was [1] Global Champagne Day and [2] the 50th (Golden) anniversary of Zambian Independence. Such an apt coincidence.
