Introducing Pema Chhosang Sherpa

..... whom we first met 5 years ago in his lodge in Khumjung.

Large to see the beautiful peak of Ama Dablam.

Until this year he has been coming to Switzerland every year in the Summer to stay with a friend with whom he summitted Everest. At weekends he would often stay with us. This year he did not get a visa so we are very happy to come back to Nepal to trek with him. He and his wife, Doma, have 3 daughters aged 20, 18 and 6. He has climbed 3 times to the top of Everest! Pema is no longer allowed by his wife to summit the highest Himalayan peaks. Can you blame her?

Now in Dole, 4,045m, a tiny hamlet of lodges where sleeping will be interesting. The temperature in the room is the same as that outside, well below freezing!
