Spring in Autumn Colours

This looks so like autumn, but of course it's not. A Japanese Maple is this colour in spring.

I have spent most of the day using the "free, convenient and secure way" to lodge my 91 year old mother's simple tax return online.

That left little time for blipping.

I noticed Cymbeline has blipped a magnificent maple tree, so here is a close up of mine. It is much smaller, not much bigger than me. It was the lucky door prize at a Melbourne Cup function I attended over 20 years ago, so don't think I can wait till it is the size of Cymbeline's to blip it.

I have applied some filters, just for fun.
