Torphichen Street School Building

Designed by Robert Wilson in 1887 for Edinburgh School Board. A two storey school built in the 'classical' style. The front was built using cream sandstone. The sides and rear used squared and snecked rubble as building materials. The tenements that used to surround it, which influenced its design, have mostly gone, replaced with modern architecture.

The school is now a business centre.
