End of British Summertime

Our clocks go back tonight, an extra hour in bed tomorrow morning, lighter mornings and dark earlier in the evening, ah well .... make the best of it!!

This clock was made by a gentleman in Bangor, we have lots of objects made by him - it's a shame that his shop closed many years ago.

MrD and I have had a busy day. He repaired a spring of the chair next to the fireplace, his chair! He cut the grass in our neighbour's garden and in ours, collecting lots of fallen leaves too.

I made soup this morning then had a few hours in the garden, planted out 2 more lots of onions in the deep beds behind the garage and in the veggie patch. Started emptying another deep bed which needs weed suppressing fabric placed at the base - then I can plant the third lot of onions out.

Weather still warm and pleasant, quite sunny too this afternoon, then a light shower at dusk.
