Life's tangled skein

Scottish Korean War Memorial

I went out today looking for nice autumnal pictures and was rewarded with some glorious shades on the hills just above the Scottish Korean War Memorial.
This memorial lies in Withcraig Wood, between Bathgate and Linlithgow, and is a place of tranquility.

The name boards inside bear the names of all 1,114 British men who died in the conflict, and there is an arboretum containing 1,114 specially-planted Scottish trees. Close in to the memorial itself are 110 Korean fir trees, one for every ten men who died.

In the sunshine (albeit rather windy sunshine) today it was quite beautiful.
