The Deer Park!

We went to the deer park this morning - our nearest bit of 'wilderness' that reminds me of Dartmoor and home. The colours are amazing, greens, ambers, browns and yellows.

It's rutting season. The big beefed up stags with their girls, really lovely to see them at their most magnificent, brandishing huge antlers and swaggering around. As you can see I didn't take a picture of a stag (I have some lovely pictures from previous years) I was too busy with a child on my back who wanted to be carried. We got to the top of the hill and it was such hard work being carried that he needed a snack stop.
