one day in France

Horses eat hay!

These are the rescue horses at the end of the road which I've blipped before. They have been in the same field for over five years now and have been abandoned by their original rescuer, but now adopted by a neighbour who feeds and waters them and calls the vet when necessary.
The neighbours have gone away for a few weeks and have asked me and another friend of theirs,to feed the horses every day. I was told to put the hay in two piles so each got their fair share, but like children and dogs, each wants what the other has, so they are eating from the same pile!
Their manes and tails are full of burrs this year which must annoy them as they are unable to toss them around like normal, as they are all stuck and matted, but hopefully that can be sorted out at some point, by someone, but not me.
