Redcoats in Edinburgh

The Museum of Edinburgh had a "Georgian Day" today so I decided to pay it a visit. I've past it many times but never actually been in. It's on Canongate (opposite Canongate Kirk), I got a bus to the bottom of the Royal Mile and dropped into Oink for a Roast Hog roll (with haggis and chilli sauce) and took it to Dunbars Close Garden before visiting the museum. The museum is pretty interesting, it's not on the same scale as The National Museum of Scotland but it is bigger than I thought and concentrates on Edinburgh and it's history. Worth a visit, especially as it's free.
