Middle Ageddom Castle

Day 641 - the day we confirmed the inevitable middle agedom by signing up for English Heritage membership. It makes financial sense - another sign of the impending doom as we both near too close to 40.

So with our EH special members cards we entered Kenilworth Castle, but not before sampling different types of mead on empty stomachs at the visitor centre.

Actually really impressed with the castle built up by Queeny's favourite Dudley. Far bigger than expected especially they've opened up said Queeny's Apartments (understatement more like hugemongous keep) and her specially created gardens to visitors.

The only thing missing was more stories of blood, gore and insanity - this castle has had more a opulent and pleasant history than most.
