Country Dance

Attended a country ball in GlendonBrook this night this is the locality where my wife her 2 brothers and 5 sisters grew up in. In those days it was a dairy farm now days all the dairy farmers have retired and sold their licences. This hall is directly across the road from Maureens old family hall. The celebration was 125 Anniversary of St. Pauls Catholic Church which is 50 metres along. These country dances were in times gone by the main social outing for local districts. The people can be seen doing the 'barn dance" in it partners are swapped with ladies going forward and men going one place back, great way to strike up a conversation if you are the shy retiring type
