Cake

Not Christmas cake but Olivia's christening cake. It was made here in December 2012 , taken to KL and topped the wedding cake in Feb 2013 and is now back, being fed with brandy, in preparation for 21 December.

I woke in the middle of the night to give advice on travel from Glasgow (Prestwick!) to Edinburgh but slept again and didn't get up till the Archers was on, again art mirroring life.

Waiting for T to come and look at the problem in the front room. The kitchen smells of vinegar from the chutney that is bubbling away. I've done the ironing and I'm off to check the hairdressing supplies for Christmas. #3 son is working, #2 son is running a half marathon in Jedburgh. It's wet and windy outside. A quiet afternoon beckons.
