Halloween

Autumn has been glorious this year. Usually we have so much wind that the leaves are ripped from the trees the moment they turn colour. This year the change has been much more gradual and the leaves have hung on - even surviving a lashing from the tail end of hurricane Gonzalo. Now they are falling of their own accord creating crime scene outlines around the cars in the driveway and carpeting the lawn.
