Trainspotting, redux

One week later, we went back to the station to watch the building works progress.

Viewing platforms are now open, this photo was taken underneath on of them.

In the space of one week, two large prefab concrete tunnels have been placed under the the station, one the main entrance/exit which will house shops and cafes, the other a smaller pedestrian/cycling passage to lead people towards the town centre.

Although there is still a lot to be done, I'm impressed at how quickly this stage of the project has gone.
