A good old-fashioned steam train, the Denmore Manor, puffed in with all the whistles and bells, packed with passengers out for a day trip. It was like being an extra in an episode of Poirot although when the guard opened the door we were minus a body falling limply onto the platform in a dramatic manner! Obviously as a blipper, I was well placed for such an eventuality! :))

The 14:32 having stopped at Cheltenham racecourse and Winchcombe is manned by unpaid volunteers and is part of the GWSR - Great Western Steam Railway. Formed in 1981 with the aim of keeping the original line working they raise money to restore and rebuild, as the buildings and line had almost gone by this date. It seems very popular.
