Not sure what the ruling is on smoking in bar doorways, but clearly the freshening autumn meant this old geezer was not for stepping out of the doorway for his fix.

Strange day; worked from early at home; had a visitor (eventually) but I left the visitor to it.

Nursery at lunchtime to pick up the wee one who was running a temperature. Had him at home for the afternoon, but still had to do school runs and grab milk.

But quiet low key evening; had them all bathed and cosy in PJs early. Alex slept for an hour before dinner but rallied and ate but was eventually flat out at his normal bed time.

After homework, Tom played draughts and then I hit the hay early too.
