Self-Portrait Tuesday: neglected love

This is my trumpet, one of the loves of my life.

Like any relationship, it's had its ups and downs. From the dread of going to lessons knowing that I hadn't practised my scales to the thrill of performance and hitting that note, we've been through the full range of emotions together.

Unfortunately I've been neglecting her recently, she's old and her brass has developed some red rot. I'm hoping to get that mended soon and maybe get back into the swing of regular practice. One gig a year just isn't good enough :)
