Cotton
Out standing in the cotton field in front of Aunt Mildred's. She is now 90 and the only sibling of Kent's dad's still alive.
Today was Kent's birthday and we had the annual BBQ. Kent buys the pig and PeeWee cooks it. Family all bring a dish and we put it out under the carport.
Great nephews help with the set up and later packing up of all the tables & chairs needed for the crowd.
Roger has a hitch hiker as he crosses the yard. Susan acts like she's someone famous!. And poor Charles just wishes for once we would act normal!
My sister-in-law had some of my great nieces collect these huge acorns. I put a quarter in the picture for size comparison I don't remember seeing acorns this big before!
FYI for those that don't know, if I had not had jeans on, I wouldn't have gone into the cotton field. Those "cotton balls" are deceiving and as you try to pull them off the stem if you don't do it just right you tear up your hands. Those bushes are hard, sharp things unlike that soft cotton we know and love
