Sky fall
The trees are losing their leaves but as this photo shows most of our trees are evergreens. I did love the sky tonight but missed it at its best. Just before I caught this the sky was a lovely pink. I was running to get my camera and unfortunately missed it, though I got some extra exercise.
The morning started out very wet and seemed set to stay that way, but the afternoon was hot enough to return to shirtsleeves. That left me with no excuse for avoiding cleaning out the gutters. An unpleasant job but necessary.
While I was up and down the ladder, Mrs G planted and transplanted. She even used the ride on mower with its trailer to transport the potting compost around.
The funniest moment was when Mrs G was sweeping the patio. Our borderline collie, Jasper, loves chasing brooms. He is a real nuisance, snapping at the broom and getting in the way. So Jasper was inside and going frantic. He was rushing from one door to the other, following the broom as best he could.
