The Eagle Has Landed
I'm back home! A long trip across the Pacific, but greeted by family in Auckland and taken home for hugs and coffee and then despatched down to Christchurch, to be met by my neighbour, where I'm lodging while my house is being repaired.
The house is supposed to be being repaired but it looks to me as though there's been zilch in the way of progress while I've been away. Yeah well, that's the way with earthquake repairs in Christchurch.
So it was back to the beach for a walk this afternoon - it felt amazingly mild!!!
I was very pleased with this capture of a young black-backed gull, using a Nikon 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G lens. Photographing in the Arctic has made me keen on wildlife photography all over again.
