P.A. Grand Canyon
One thing that my family and I enjoy to do is hike, and because of this one of the most ideal places to go on a weekend is to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. There are various things to do at the P.A. Grand Canyon such as hiking, looking down into the canyon from the top, and the educational videos they show inside the entrance building. Having been there several times before, we usually skip the educational videos and go straight to the overlook and hiking. The path we tend to hike and hiked on Saturday is called the Turkey Path. The Turkey Path goes down into the canyon to its base and has many waterfalls along its side. The path is very steep and challenging, but I think that the pros of hike outweigh the cons tremendously. Not only is the hike amazing, but as the picture depicts the view from the overlook is also beautiful. I feel that the best time of year to go there is in the fall, because at this time the leaves on the trees begin to change from their typical green to their many shades of reds, yellows, and oranges. This makes the view from the overlook much more amazing and makes the trip and overall better experience.
