RISEN

A visit to the beautiful city of Ely, was followed by the nearby Welney Nature Reserve to see the first Whooper Swans arrive from Iceland for the winter.
This statue is in Ely Cathedral, a beautiful building. It depicts Mary trying to touch the body of Christ, and He is pulling away as He has not yet fully risen. A beautiful piece of work.
