Mary Queen of Scots Extravaganza
Only managed three hours sleep after my journey from Belfast then off to Kirkgate Park to help out with the Mary Queen of Scots extravaganza. This was organised by our local events committee of which I'm a member.
It was a very hard day's work but the weather was absolutely glorious and the event was well attended. Activities such as boat races, fencing, period music were on offer together with loads of different stalls with food crafts etc.
The centre piece of the day was a performance from a re- enactment group which was very entertaining and really drew the crowds. I managed to get this bonnie picture of 'Mary' as she rode towards me.
